Why can’t an order be cancelled?

I accidentally submitted my order twice. I contacted customer services the following morning as soon as they opened and was told it was too far through the distribution process to have one of the orders cancelled. I found the odd as the payment transaction had not even gone through my bank. The payments were taken from my bank the following day and my goods have still not been dispatched four days later. How then can one of the orders not be cancelled and money refunded? I won’t be shopping on line with them again. UPDATE- 6 days after being told my order was too far through dispatch, I have received an email telling me my items are out of stock and I will receive a refund in 5-7 days. This online service is atrocious.

Never order online from Jo Malone - NEVER !!!

Have always purchased from Jo Malone retail shops but with lockdown had no choice but to order online for a mother’s day gift this year. Jo Malone’s website stated "order by 11th March for in time delivery for Mother Day". We ordered 8th March… so logic tells you will arrive in time for Mother’s Day… right …. ….WRONG !!! Just had an email today (11th March) saying “Deliveries are taking longer than normal at this time”. Called up Jo Malone customer service and it transpires its nothing to do with the delivery company it is actually to do with Jo Malone’s dispatch! They have not shipped our items yet !!! Apparently, it will ship tomorrow (12th March) by royal mail / Hermes, so won’t arrive until Monday !! The customer service agent said .. “You may be lucky and it arrives Saturday” !A luxury brand like Jo Malone who charge a lot of money for their products should be doing better with their online business. To be honest it is shocking to see that they have 21% Excellent reviews 57% BAD reviews on here!! Can’t wait for the shops to re-open!UPDATE 120321I have finally received confirmation of shipping!!! They have shipped it on a Royal Mail Tracked 48 !!! therefore they never had any intention of getting the item to us in time !!- Useless online serivce

Good experience

Good experience! I appreciate that this review seems rare due to the number of negative reviews for Jo Malone online but I have ordered twice in a number of weeks and both orders have been well packaged and delivered within a week. I have been a regular customer for many years and love their products it seems a shame there are so many negative reviews on here. The only reason they do not get 5 stars is due to UK customers being offered much less sample offers in comparison to our US counterparts. Overall no complaints here, truly unique scents and high quality products.

Jo Malone - luxury prices but zero service I received the ...

I received the advent calendar from my husband, it’s a gorgeous gift (I have had before) and in the final window, you received a voucher for a free purse spray, the catch being you’re to order something else. I decide to order for my mother and MIL birthday which are due in March. The perfume arrived in a batter brown box, no gift packaging as described on website, just bubble wrapped. I am beyond disappointed, a £120 bottle of perfume in some bubble wrap......to make matters worse the free purse spray is nowhere. For the money you are spending, and for a luxury brand, the service is just appalling. Do not order anything from this website, wait until the shops re-open.

I ordered a reed diffuser at £65 from Jo malone, before reading these reviews, bit stupid! Unlike alot of other people though, i’ve not had too bad an experience with them, i ordered on January the 9th, standard delivery, and my order arrived today January 15th, feel bad for everyone that have had awful issues, i wouldn't buy from again based on the problems the company appear to be having.

Unique products, great quality

I have been shopping at Jo Malone for years. Not once had I have a problem with delivery/products. Great packaging and delivery within few days. I feel so many people rushed with their 1* reviews over the past weeks. I mean, time before and after Christmas/New Year’s is always extremely busy and trying period for retail, and the fact UK is in lockdown (again!!) has not helped. I’ve ordered a perfume on 30/12, it was dispatched on 7/01, received 11/01. However, I was prepared to wait longer giving the circumstances. The quality is superb- as usual. The only thing they could change is introducing order updates, to put some people’s minds at ease.And finally, unhappy customers please don’t use words that you don’t understand :) (vide: scam).

Wish I had read these reviews first Ordered a Jo malone candle 50.00 so not cheapHasn’t arrived Raised an issue with PayPal as that’s how I paid Jo malone are ignoring messages I will never ever buy anything again from this company , they don’t give any regard to their customers and treat with contempt Going to Aldi now as their hand wash is identical and a fraction of the cost !!

Awful customer service - do not use this website

Awful customer service - do not buy from here! I placed on order on 30/11 and when I checked my account 2 weeks later I found it was cancelled but I'd still been charged. I received no communication to advise me as to why it was cancelled and no replies to my email. I emailed again 2 weeks later, again, no reply, I attempted to call but I was on hold for too long. Still waiting for any communication / my refund.

Absolutely shocking

Absolutely shocking! If I could give no stars, I would. Never experienced such terrible service. Ordered a Christmas present in the hope that it would at least be delivered before New Year considering the current situation. It STILL hasn’t been dispatched. I’ve demanded a refund, I didn’t get one. The staff on the online chat just fob you off and lie to you saying it will be sorted that day. Twice they have said this and obviously lied. Appallling especially when you consider the price of the products. Have some pride Jo Malone!

Bad service and overpriced items which…

Bad service and overpriced items which dont even last long. Scents are nice but dupes are a lot more long lasting then the original items. Rude staff as per all Estee Lauder owned brands.

“No Malone”

Purchased the Jo Malone “Online exclusive Cracker Collection” (£64 for 6) Guest comments included : -“The cracker that sums up 2020”“No Malone”And “No joke, no bang, no hat - NOT a Cracker” Thoroughly disappointed all at dinner, including 2 children pulled from chairs in the attempt to “pull” the “crackers”
